Waterproof eyeliner works similar to regular eyeliner but it lasts much longer, and usually dries quicker too. In order to fix mistakes, you will need to work a little quicker since the liner will set faster than regular liners. Don’t panic, and just keep some q-tips and makeup remover nearby! 😉
You can use it in your formula of choice: stick, gel, powder, or liquid form. The first step is always a good eyeshadow primer, even if it is waterproof. This will make sure your makeup will not budge! I use Urban Decay’s Primer Potion. I, personally, am a classic cat eye (as shown in photo) kind-of-girl, so I’ll be using that as a reference for this guide. From there you can make the line thicker and shape it to your liking! You now know how to apply waterproof eyeliner!
Tips: -If using an eyeliner stick, I like to buy wipe some on to the edge of a angled eyeshadow brush to give me more control and precision. Line as close as you can to the lash line to give the illusion of fuller lashes. –Bare Minerals sells this Weather proof liquid dropper bottle that turns any powder eyeshadow into a waterproof liquid liner. I use this on my powders that I don’t have a certain eyeliner color in and always get compliments!
