June’s Birchbox “Away We Go” theme is inspired by traveling with the right items and creating smaller friendly items to take on vacation.
I’m beyond thrilled about the Cynthia Rowley Beauty, Creamy Lip Stain sample! I have been wanting to try this but uncertain which shade to try first and if I’ll even like the product. I received Valentine, a vibrant flirty pink that screams summer! It feels buttery smooth on like a non-sticky lip butter, and I wore it out for the whole day and night till 2am and let me tell you my lips were still as vibrant as when I applied it! I’m sold! When the smooth gloss layer comes off the stain is still on the lips, but I applied a clear gloss over it for moisture during the night. Description: “A long-wearing stain from the NYC-based designer that gives unbeatable moisture and shine. Sweep over lips with the applicator wand. Repeat for a heavier dose of pigment.” I applied one coat and loved it. Full size is $20.
Egyptian Magic All-Purpose Skin Cream, in a cute sample container that seems like it’ll last several weeks. It has a nice rich texture. Description: “Celebs and health professionals alike swear by this all-natural, all-purpose salve. Use to moisturize, fight wrinkles, and treat burns and bruises – that’s just the beginning.” It has the slightest hint of a scent of honey since it is one of the ingredients, other than that it doesn’t have much of a scent which is fine by me! Full size $26-38.
Harvey Prince Hello Perfume sample. Description: “Best-selling spritz that mingles cheerful citrus with floral notes. Well, hello there! Apply to pulse points and let this upbeat scent do the talking.” I’m not the hugest fan of perfume samples, I tend to forget about them and let them collect dust. I’ll have to try to remember to use some of them. Full size $55.
Lierac Paris, Micellar Cleansing Water. I’ve never tried a cleansing water before but have been interested in trying it. This is a decent sized bottle too. Description: “Rich in botanicals, this alcohol-free liquid removes makeup while soothing sensitive skin. Apply to dry skin with cotton pad and sweep over face and eye area. No need to rinse.” Full size $24.
Mally Beauty Volumizing Mascara. I truly appreciate Birchbox stepping up their game and sending me this full sized mascara. I honestly thought it would be a mini size because that’s been their trend. I love the products Mally makes and am looking forward to trying this out, once my current mascara runs out. Description: “Celeb makeup artist Mally Roncal designed this to give you flamboyant, va-va-voom lashes. Apply two coats, wiggling the wand from the roots to the tips of lashes.” Full size $20.
They also included a faux travel ticket with the chance to win a travel certificate from Jetblue!
With the Mally Beauty mascara alone, it exceeded the value of the box by double. I am more than happy with this box and looking forward to using everything!
